William “Billy” Wong, Jr., 73, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 surrounded by his loving wife and children at Kent Hospital. He was the loving husband of Karen Estelle (McLaughlin) Wong. Born in Toronto, Canada, he was the son of the late William Wong, Sr. and Ella M. (Lee) Wong.
Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1976-1979. He later worked as a Sheet Metal Mechanic for Electric Boat in Quonset and after, he was a proud Corporate Chef for Dave’s Marketplace. Bill was a devoted volunteer for the RI Community Food Bank. He was also a member of the Boy Scouts of Canada. Bill enjoyed bowling, playing cards and playing pool. He also enjoyed spending time with family and his friends. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
In addition to his wife Karen, he is survived by his beloved children, Stephanie L. Wong of Warwick, Kaitlyn H. Mambro (Jacob) of Warwick, and William R. Wong of Warwick, his sister, Marilynn Doreen Wong of Canada, and his grandchildren, Grace, Nathan, Jacob, Hannah, and Nora.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 6:00PM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4:00PM-6:00PM. Interment with Military Honors will be private.
