74, of Post Road, Warwick, passed away Sunday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen R. (Grady) McLaughlin. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas O. and Evelyn (Butts) McLaughlin.
Mr. McLaughlin was the President of CAP Systems, Inc., previously PMI, in Stoughton, MA. He was a graduate of Hope High School and Roger Williams University and served in The United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Rose and St. Clement Parish in Warwick.
He was the loving father of Janice M. Stinchfield and her husband Don of Scituate, RI Thomas J. McLaughlin, Jr. and his wife Deige of Summit, NJ and Jacqueline A. McLaughlin of Smithfield, RI. Cherished grandfather of Georgia, Ali and Toby Stinchfield and Carson, Tyler and Spencer McLaughlin.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday 5-8 pm.
