Susan Ann (Crowther) Verrill

Susan Ann (Crowther) Verrill, 61, of Coventry, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of Barbara A. (Hopkins) Moran and the late Gilbert A. Crowther, stepmother Dorothy Crowther, and stepdaughter of the late John W. Moran.

Susan worked for the State of Rhode Island for forty years in the Department of BHDDH – RICLAS. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Susan loved gardening, photography, crafting, and relaxing along Lake Tiogue in Coventry. She will be greatly missed.

Alongside her mother Barbara, she is survived by her beloved son, Jeffrey D. Hashway (Megan Paige Hellman) of Coventry, her siblings, Cathy A. Lemoi (Alan) of West Warwick, Carol A. Grinnell (David) of Warwick, and James A. Hopkins (Diana) of Scituate, her stepsiblings Sharon Oliveira of West Warwick, Don W. Moran, III (Jackie) of West Warwick, Arthur Moran (Janice) of West Warwick, Patrick Moran (Gail) of Warwick, Peggy Moran-Billington (Tom) of Coventry, Gary Pierce (Aline) Palmer, Ma., Scott Pierce (Cindy) of Palmer, Ma., Linda Danner of Palmer, Ma. and her cherished grandchildren, Meadow Paige-Hashway and Levi David Hashway, and many nieces and nephews. Her good friend Marc Joubert.

She was the sister of the late Raymond G. Crowther.

A Celebration of Susan’s Life will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 4:00PM-7:00PM concluding with a Funeral Service at 7:00PM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
