Shirley Elizabeth (Donahey) Callahan

Shirley Elizabeth (Donahey) Callahan, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Roderick) Donahey.

A devoted mother, she raised her children on her own with strength, courage, and unwavering love. Known for her independence and selfless spirit, she was a proud member of the St. Catherine’s and St Francis parishes, where she found great joy and purpose. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her family. Her legacy of faith, perseverance, and good-will, will live on in all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved children, Stephen P. Callahan (Betty) of Chepachet, Dennis J. Callahan (Joyce) of Warwick, and Thomas L. Callahan of Frisco, TX, her grandchildren, Michael Callahan (Kate), Lindsey Nadeau (Jonathan), Sean and Hannah Callahan (twins), and Sarah Callahan, and her great-grandson Chase Callahan.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Mildred Donahey, Ruth Cannon, Dorothy Wright, Charlotte Kiernan, and her daughter-in-law Lynette Callahan.

A private service will be held for the immediate family. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
