Sara J. Greenwood

Sara J. Greenwood, 98, died on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Roberts Health Centre.  She was the wife of the late Harry W. Greenwood.  Born in Greensburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late James P. Shope & Emma (Wilson) Shope.

Mrs. Greenwood was a 1948 graduate of the Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing.  As a Registered Nurse, she worked at various hospitals in the Boston area, retiring as the Coordinator of Continuing Care of Norwood Hospital.   She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.

She leaves her loving children, Sara G. Hogan (Randall) of Wellington, FL, and David K. Greenwood (Barbara Hamilton) of North Kingstown.  She was the proud grandmother of Emily D. (Hogan) Bohline (Jon), Kelly E. Hogan (Antonio Ojeda), and great-grandmother of Blake E. Bohline and Zoey J. Bohline.  She was the sister of the late Lois Bair and William Shope, MD.

Relatives & friends are invited and may call on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a service to follow in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown.  Burial in Newton Cemetery will be private.
