Sandra Rose (Gallo) Hayes

Sandra Rose (Gallo) Hayes, 73, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished wife of Vincent Joseph Hayes, Jr., with whom she shared fifty-four wonderful years of love and adventure. Born in Providence, Sandra was the beloved daughter of Jennie A. (Secone) and the late Joseph D. Gallo.

Known affectionately as "Sandy," she built a fulfilling career as an Associate and Manager in both the retail and banking industries. Beyond her professional life, Sandy was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and doting grandmother whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.

Sandy's passions included traveling to exciting places, cooking delicious meals, and cultivating her garden. However, her heart always belonged to the moments spent laughing, celebrating, and creating memories with her loved ones.

She is survived by her loving husband, Vincent, and their cherished children, Mark J. Hayes of Warwick and Scott C. Hayes (Erica) of Coventry. Sandy also leaves behind her siblings, Beverly R. Mullins (Charles), Michael D. Gallo (Michael), and David B. Gallo (Wendy), along with her treasured grandchildren: Ashley, Nicholas, Rebecca, Samantha, Dylan, Madison, and Liliana.

Family and friends are invited to honor Sandra’s life at a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Sts. Rose & Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Visitation will take place before the Mass, from 8:30AM to 10:00AM, at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Sandy’s warmth, kindness, and enduring love will be forever remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly celebrated.
