Roger H. Theroux, 90, of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Mary E. (Delsignore)
Theroux, with whom he shared 38 wonderful years of marriage.
Born on November 21, 1935, Roger was the son of Herve and Beatrice (Mathieu) Theroux and the stepson of the late Irene (Lacoste) Theroux. He was
the cherished brother of the Rev. Bertrand .L Theroux of North Kingstown, RI, Robert P. Theroux of Woonsocket, RI, Dennis Theroux of Plainfield, IL, and
Suzanne T. Hayward of Bellingham, MA. Roger was a devoted stepfather to Clifford Hazleton of Baskin Ridge, NJ, and a proud grandfather to Gus and Josie Hazelton. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Roger honorably served in the United States Air Force. His passion for languages led him to a career as a world language teacher at Lexington High
School in Massachusetts, where he mentored and inspired countless students. Upon retirement, Roger dedicated his time to volunteering at various hospitals in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Naples, FL, providing compassionate support to hospice care patients.
He was predeceased by his two sons, David and Mark Theroux.
A private funeral was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at St. Francis DeSales Church in North Kingstown, RI, with interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. Arrangements were entrusted to the Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home, Wickford, Rhode Island.
