Roger Keefe Obituary

91, of Warwick passed away Monday, January 31, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Helen D. (Drury) Keefe. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Alice Keefe.

Mr. Keefe was a Baker of Pastry for multiple bakeries in Rhode Island until his retirement in 1984. He served in The United States Army and was stationed in Germany during WW II. Mr. Keefe enjoyed golf, skiing, playing pool, and bowling and was a member of the St. Clement Church Bowling League. He was a founding member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Mr. Keefe also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

He was the loving father of Roger L. Keefe of Warwick, Virginia R. Kershaw of East Greenwich, Patricia A. Lewis of Wakefield and the late John F. Rooney. Cherished grandfather of seventeen and great-grandfather of seventeen. He was the brother of the late Elliot Keefe, Dorothy Fallon and Kenneth Keefe.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Friday 5-7 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Funeral and burial private.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Hasbro Children's Hospital, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02903 would be appreciated.
