Robert E. White, Sr., 94, of Exeter, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 25, 2025. He was the loving husband of Mercedes M. (Zackarian) White. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Clarence White and Bertha E. (Stone) White.
Mr. White was employed as an administrator at the Naval Submarine Base of New London until his retirement. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his loving children: Cheryl A. Pearson & her husband Russell of Garland, TX, Karen L. Matook & her husband Wade of Exeter, and Robert E. White, Jr. of Exeter. Cherished grandfather of seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Lynn Sheppo.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
