Robert Edward Tetreault, Sr., 92, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. He was the devoted husband of the late Anna (Magnone) Tetreault, lovingly referred to as “my bride,” for sixty years. Born in Providence, RI, he was one of eleven children of the late Clifford and Roseanne (Lawrence) Tetreault.
Robert proudly served the United States Army in Germany during the Korean War and worked as a butcher for the Johnston Dressed Beef Company. A man of deep love and devotion, Robert was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Later in life, Robert spent much of his time at the Cranston Senior Center and Bo’s Billiards, where he was known as “Bobby T.” His zest for life, humor, and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He loved dancing, golfing, shooting pool, baking his wine biscuits, and watching Westerns.
He is survived by his loving companion, Rose Coppola of Cranston, his three children: Carol A. Davis (Stephen) of Cranston, Robert E. Tetreault, Jr. (Cheryl) of Cranston, and Donna M. Sanita (Donald) of Warwick; five grandchildren: Stephen Davis Jr. (Candace), Lisa Mavridis (Chris), Alyssa Smith, Matthew Sanita, and Sarah Tetreault; and two great-grandchildren: Haley Davis and Nicolas Mavridis.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
Interment with Military Honors will follow at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on the morning of the service from 10:00AM to 11:00AM.
Robert’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the joy of knowing him.
