Robert J. Sprague

Robert J. Sprague, 76, of North Kingstown, died at home on October 22, 2025.  Born in South Kingstown, he was the son of the late Eldredge N. “Buster” Sprague and Alma A. "Ann"  (Bryant) Sprague.

Bob was employed at Johnson’s Boat Yard for over 40 works working as the yard manager and parts manager.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971 where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and Army Commendation Medal with “V” Device.  He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.  

He leaves his stepchildren, Kelly R. Marden and James K. Marden of Florida.  He was the dear friend and companion of Heather A. Jacobs of North Kingstown.  He also leaves many dear friends, including Jeff Lafreniere and Paul Chasse.  

His Committal Service with Military Honors will be held Tuesday November 4, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.
