Robert Joseph Silva, 67, of Exeter, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. He was the loving husband of Marsha Vee (Anderson) Silva. Born in New Bedford, MA, he was the son of the late Robert and Hilda (Travares) Silva.
Robert graduated from Dartmouth Community College and worked as a Correctional Officer at the A.C.I in Cranston. He was a thirty-four-year member of RIBCO (RI Brotherhood of Correctional Officers). Robert enjoyed bowling at Kingston Bowl and all forms of sports, especially football. For many years, he bought and sold antiques and was an animal lover.
Alongside his wife, Marsha Vee (Anderson) Silva of Exeter, he is survived by his beloved daughter, Julie B. Silva of West Warwick, his stepsons, Thomas A. Miller of Warwick and Christopher Miller (Angela M. Thoman-Miller) of Westerly, his brother-in-law, Carl Anderson of South Kingstown, his sister, Kathleen Fortier (Robert) of Westport, MA, his nephews, Justin Fortier (Megan), Matthew Fortier (Shelley), and Christopher Fortier (Tiffany), and his step granddaughter, Alayna Robbins. He is also survived by his cherished pet children, Ollie and Chloe.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 4:00PM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00PM-4:00PM.
