Robert R. Ouimette

60, of Warwick passed away Monday at home. He was the beloved husband of Lori L. (Bennett) Ouimette. Born in Providence, he was a devoted son of Eleanor (Gooden) Ouimette of Warwick and the late Raymond E. Ouimette.

Bob was a 30 year employee of Cranston Welding before retiring in 2009 due to his illness. An avid Civil War Buff and diehard Red Sox Fan, he also enjoyed the theatre, his comradery with his customers on the road, and the ocean. A gifted vegetable gardener, Bob relished sharing his beloved heirloom tomatoes with anyone who said yes. Headstrong to the end, but with a tender caring heart, his wit and charm will be sorely missed.

He was the loving father of Lynsie L. Ouimette of Warwick and step-father of the late Christopher Higgins. Caring brother of Marilyn Wentworth and the late Michael Ouimette. Cherished grandfather of Gian Higgins and C. Neiko Stravato.

His Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 12 Noon in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday 5-8 pm.
