43, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 21, 2011. Born in South Kingstown, he was son of Robert S. Mortin, Sr. and Linda L. (Pierce) Mortin. He was the loving husband of Evelyn A. (Pokraka) Mortin.
Mr. Mortin was a Facilities Manager for Quonset Development Corporation. He was a Communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wickford, where he participated with the community church garden. He was a member of Charity Lodge #23 F & AM of Charlestown and the RI Bee Keepers Association. Rob loved the outdoors, was an avid gardener, and an active boy scout during his youth.
Besides his wife and parents, he leaves his beloved daughters: Shelby N. Mortin and Courtney E. Mortin, both of North Kingstown. He was the brother of Christopher T. Mortin of North Kingstown and the late Sherry L. Mortin. He was the cherished uncle of Tyler Lake, Christopher Mortin, and Corey Mortin.
His Requiem Eucharist will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford. Burial will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Kindly omit flowers.
