Robert Charles Facteau

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Charles Facteau, who left this world on October 9th 2025, at the age of 82. Bob was Born on March 3rd 1943, in Central Falls, RI to Robert Leon Facteau and Anna Arline Messier. 

He married Pearl Annette Paul on February 23rd 1963, and adored her for 61 years.  He and Pearl raised their children Annette Anne Eaton and Richard Emile Facteau in North Attleboro, MA

Bob was a hardworking, loyal member of the Bancroft Company in Pawtucket, RI where he initially assumed the responsibilities of cleaning the lacquer booths and later advanced to stringing tennis rackets for the world’s top tennis players including Billie Jean King and Bjorn Borg.   Bob’s strong work ethic progressed him to leadership roles in distribution for the Stride Rite Corporation in New Bedford, MA and then Kaufmann’s in Batavia, New York.

He found enjoyment in playing tennis, softball, and golf.  He became a skilled golfer who achieved a hole in one on three separate occasions.  Two of which were in a single season.

Bob was a good man with a calm, quiet demeanor and a hearty laugh which was contagious and would fill a room.  He was absolutely devoted to his wife and generously supportive of his children and extended family members.    

Bob is survived by his children, Annette and Richard, Grandchildren Paul Facteau and Victoria Eaton, Son- in- Law David N. Eaton, Daughter- in- Law Kelly Ann Facteau, Sister-in-Law Joyce Facteau, and a host of other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his Parents and his brother Wayne Facteau. 

He will be dearly missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Bob’s Life to be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 10:00AM to 12Noon, concluding with a Service at 12Noon, at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be given in memory of Bob to Hope Health Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904; www.hopehealthco.org  

We will always carry Bob’s memory in our hearts, a testament to the love and laughter he brought into our lives.
