Richard H. Greene, 84, of Exeter, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026 at Rhode Island Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Elaine (Valente) Greene for 63 years.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Benjamin Greene & Anna Mae (Egan) Greene.

Mr. Greene was a graduate of Rhode Island College, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Education and his Master’s Degree in Counseling.   He worked for Warwick Public Schools for 35 years as a teacher, Guidance Counselor, Assistant Principal and Director of the Warwick Area Career Technical Center.  He was a Communicant of St. Bernard Church, an avid golfer, loved gardening and loved quahogging off of Great Island with his family. Ahlijanian & her husband Paul of Exeter.  Cherished grandfather of Nicholas Dorkin, Alex Dorkin, Jack Dorkin, Marley Ahlijanian, and Isabella Ahlijanian.   He was the brother of Thomas Greene of North Providence and the late Vivian Benn & Benjamin Greene.
