Rebecca J. Bjorkman

Rebecca "Becky" J. Bjorkman, 73, of Myrtle Beach and formerly of Warwick, RI, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

Born in Warwick, RI on June 26, 1952, she was the beloved daughter of Joan (Little) Swiss and Roy Bjorkman. Rebecca was a graduate of Coventry High School, Class of 1970.

A woman of diverse talents and a sharp mind, Rebecca traveled West to Nevada, where she successfully completed her training at the Five Star School of Gambling in Las Vegas. Her professional career was marked by dedication and precision in the banking and manufacturing sectors. She worked for Old Stone Bank and Leviton Manufacturing Co. before joining Citizens Bank in Warwick where she devoted much of her life. After years of diligent service, she celebrated her retirement in March of 2022.

Known for her vibrant spirit, Rebecca eventually traded the familiar shores of Rhode Island for the warmth of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she enjoyed her retirement years.

She is survived by her sister and best friend, Heidi Bottomley, and her husband Dennis Bottomley of Myrtle Beach.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick from 4:00pm-7:00pm with a memorial service to follow.  Burial will be private.
