Raymond Chace Obituary

Raymond Earl Chace, 91, of Warwick, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024. He was the loving husband of Barbara (Doucette) Chace for sixty-eight years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Earl R. and Cora M. (Williams) Chace.

Raymond graduated from Lockwood High School in 1950 and had a lifelong enjoyment of boating and fishing. He served as the Marina Owner and President for RI Boat Moving Inc. and Ponaug Marina Inc. for over fifty years. Raymond passed this enjoyment on to his family and was succeeded in ownership of both companies by his son David. He was also a member of the RI Marine Trades Association and the East Greenwich Yacht Club.

Alongside his wife Barbara, he is survived by his beloved children, Laurie A. Grann (John) of Exeter, David A. Chace (Martine) of East Greenwich, and Ann M. Rapoza (Reginald) of Chepachet, his brother, Stanley D. Chace (Nancy) of Florida, and two grandchildren, Amanda Chace and Michael Chace.

He was the brother of the late F. Evelyn Olson and Beverly G. Chace.

At Raymonds request, Funeral Services will be private and have been entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
