Philomena (Lancellotta) Tomasso, 99, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Michael A. Tomasso for fifty-six years. Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Petrarca) Lancellotta.
Philomena was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A devout Catholic, she was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish in West Warwick where she attended daily morning Mass and Saturday evening Mass. Philomena particularly loved baking and cooking, especially for family and friends. She was proud to be the great grandmother of her eight great-grandchildren whom she cherished. Philomena will be truly missed.
She is survived by her beloved children, Michael C. Tomasso (Bonnie) of Warwick and Barbara Fioravanti of Cranston, six grandchildren, Michael, Lauren, Nathan, Kristen, Alyssa, and Thomas, eight great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Spencer, Bryce, Chase, Gabriel, Dante, Tatem, Pippa, and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Albert Lancellotta, Joseph Lancellotta, Ralph Lancellotta, and Lucy Lemme.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 10:00AM at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Warwick. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
