Paul Anthony Whitman, 81, of Warwick, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Geraldine May (Cayer) Whitman. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Everett A. and Yvette B. (Lamothe) Whitman.
Paul worked as an Electrician for General Dynamics Electric Boat for most of his life. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who provided a loving home for his family. Blessed with many talents and a caring personality, Paul always made a positive impression on those who knew him. He was a devout Christian and had served as a Lay Reader at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Apponaug. In his free time, Paul enjoyed playing the piano, a talent he had since the early age of five. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his beloved children, Paul A. Whitman II (Brenda) of Warwick, Melissa M. Harrison of Warwick, Laura L. Gay (Dennis) of South Kingstown, Elizabeth A. Gay (Daniel) of Cranston, and Miranda Gosselin of Warwick, seventeen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Everett Whitman.
His Funeral Services are private and have been entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
