Patrick James Costello, 44, of Exeter, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Patrick was born on July 14, 1981. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and a source of strength and warmth to those who knew him. An exceptionally talented carpenter, Patrick took great pride in his craft. His skill, attention to detail, and strong work ethic were evident in everything he built, and his work stands as a lasting testament to his dedication and ability.
Above all else, Patrick cherished his family and the time he spent with them.
Patrick is survived by his beloved wife, Stacey Costello (Waterman), and his sons, Caleb and Declan, who were the center of his world. He is also survived by his parents, Thomas and Janice Costello of Warwick, Rhode Island; his brothers, Brian and Sean Costello; his sister, Megan Costello and partner Alina Nevins; his niece, Madison; as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many life-long friends.
Patrick will be remembered for his resilience, his deep love for his family, and the quiet strength and grace he showed throughout his life. His legacy lives on not only in the lives he touched, but also in the many things he built with his hands and heart.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the Tilted Barn, One Hemsley Place, Exeter, RI 02822.
