Olganda R. Pinheiro

Olganda R. (Araujo) Pinheiro, 81, of East Providence, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Joao F. Pinheiro. Born in Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Adriano and Jovina Araujo.

Olganda leaves behind a vast and beautiful legacy that will span generations. As the guiding light of her family, she poured her heart into raising her 9 children. She watched her family tree blossom to include many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was always filled with noise, laughter, and open arms, and her spirit would forever guide the incredible family she created.

Olganda is survived by her beloved children, Marilia Almeida, Leonilde Pinheiro, Adna DosReis, Joao Pinheiro, Nelia Dias, Palmira Pinheiro, Olganda Pinheiro, her 22 Grandchildren, and 14 Great-Grandchildren, her siblings, Luis Araujo, Joao Araujo, Abener Araujo, Joviano Araujo, Raquel Anahory, and Adna Pereira.

Olganda was predeceased by her sons, Luis Pinheiro and Joviano Pinheiro, and her brother Anselmo Araujo.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10:00AM. Burial immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Riverside, RI.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 4:00PM-7:00PM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
