Michael James McGuire, 67, of Wakefield, formerly of Cranston, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. He was the loving husband of Joyce (Nahabedian) McGuire for forty-four years. Born in Providence, he was the son of Francis L. McGuire of Warwick and the late Barbara Ann (Heffernan).
Michael is survived by his beloved children, Christopher M. McGuire (Alexandria Salton), M. Patrick McGuire, Esq. (Gabriella Ippolito), and Jeffrey A. McGuire, his grandchildren Elliott, Madeline, and Alessia, as well as his siblings, John F. McGuire (Helen), Carol J. Garrity (Phillip), Robert C. McGuire (Lynne), and Marybeth A. McGuire, and many nieces and nephews.
Mike and Joyce raised their family in Cranston where they lived for 37 years. He was a founding member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic minister and Confirmation Teacher. Mike and Joyce established the parish’s Apostles of Mercy ministry.
Michael was a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School and the University of Rhode Island where he was a brother in the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. For the last nine years he worked as a sales manager for Dennison Lubricants, Lakeville, MA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:00AM at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Interment will be private.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 4:00PM-6:00PM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
