Matthew Caleb Ruiz Torres

Matthew Caleb Ruiz Torres, 9, of Providence, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Born in Boston, Ma, he was the son of Jonny A Ruiz Perez and Marlyn J. Torres.

Matthew was a student at Alfred Lima School in Providence, and it was one of his favorite places to be. Matthew also loved to play with his teddy bears, watch videos, go to the movies, his favorite color was red, and he loved to dance.

Alongside his parents, he is survived by his brother Gerald Ruiz Torres.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 4:00PM-7:00PM concluding with a Funeral Service at 7:00PM Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 11:00AM to follow in procession for the Interment at Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd, Providence
