Matthew John O'Connell

Matthew John O’Connell, 51, of Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Sarah E. (Wright) O’Connell. Born in Jamestown, he was the son of the late Timothy and Linda (Williams) O’Connell.

Matthew worked for five years as a Safety Specialist for Amazon Incorporated.

Alongside his wife, Sarah E. (Wright) O’Connell of Warwick, he is survived by his siblings, Eric O’Connell of North Kingstown and Deborah O’Connell-Earle of North Carolina, his mother-in-law, Kathleen Wright, many nieces and nephews, and his sisters-in-law, Melissa Wright, Elizabeth Wright, and Rebecca Rogers.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
