Mary Ann (Barnes) Petrarca, 92, of Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Albert L. Petrarca. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marion (Bettencourt) Barnes.
Mary Ann worked as a Senior Clerk at the Board of Canvassers for the City of Warwick. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Church in West Warwick, a member of the East Natick Veterans Club and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Mary Ann leaves behind her beloved children James V. Petrarca (Sheryl) of Hope, RI, Anthony A. Petrarca (Mary Ellen) of Springhill, Fl., Maria F. Duquette (Paul) of Coventry, RI, Karen A. Petrarca (Stephen Quinter) of Attleboro, Ma., cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, and her sister Barbara Petrarca of Warwick.
She was predeceased by her brother Walter Barnes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 12:30PM at the Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial immediately following at All Saints Cemetery, Warwick, RI
Visitation will be held prior from 10:00AM-11:00AM at URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick RI.
