Mary C. (Healy) Mitchell

86, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at Kent Hospital on Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John F. Healy and Delia B. (Charbonneau) Healy. She was the wife of the late Ernest L. Mitchell.

Mrs. Mitchell was a Homemaker who enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves her daughter, Lois J. Higgins of North Kingstown. She was the grandmother of Kevin M. Higgins, Jr. and his wife Sharon S. of Scarsdale, NY, and the great-grandmother of Caroline J. Higgins, Cole P. Higgins, Cameron J. Higgins, and Caitlin S. Higgins, all of Scarsdale, NY. She was the sister of the late Loretta Whitman and Virginia Jenkins.

Her funeral was held on Friday, December 24, 2010 at 9:00 am in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial followed in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
