Margaret Elizabeth (Hughes) Swanson

Margaret Elizabeth (Hughes) Swanson, 78, of Warwick, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025. She was the loving wife of Ronald James Swanson for fifty-four years. Born in Asheville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Samuel E. Hughes and Jane E. (Ong) Hughes.

Margaret earned an Associates Degree in Nursing from the Community College of Rhode Island and an Associates Degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Boston. She went on to work as a C.N.A. for various agencies and remained passionate about Art for her entire life. Margaret was a member of the Greenwood Community Church Presbyterian and Circle #2 of Presbyterian Women.

Alongside her husband, Ronald James Swanson of Warwick, she is survived by her beloved children, Heidi E. Swanson (Kevin King) of Warwick and Timothy J. Swanson of Plainfield, CT.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 2:00PM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00PM to 2:00PM.
