Linda Ann (DeLancey) Dailey, 83, of North Providence, died peacefully on February 27, 2026. She was the beloved wife of 51 Years to the late Francis James “ Frank” Dailey. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Charlotte (Dingee) DeLancey.
Linda graduated from Warwick Veterans Memorial High School as a member of the Class of 1961. She went on to earn her degree from Rhode Island College in 1965.
She dedicated her career to education, teaching in in the Warwick Public Schools in the 1960s,and later at St. Vincent de Paul School, and at Mercymount Country Day School, from which she retired.
Linda enjoyed spending her time doing crafts such as knitting and quilting. She was an avid reader,Tai chi practioner, a guitarist, and especially loved watching British mysteries on BBC. She was also a longtime patron of the Gamm Theatre. .
Linda is survived by her two loving daughters, Kerrilyn Dailey Rousseau (Michael) of Warwick and Jean Dailey Capitumini (Daniel) of North Providence, her sisters, Susan Place (William) of Warwick, Judith Riccio (Late John) of North Kingstown and Jan DeRouin (Alan) of Arizonia. She was the devoted and beloved grandmother of Kai Capitumini.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in the Historic Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4:00PM-7:00 PM at The URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick, RI 02886
