Kersti Margareta (Magnuson) Milone, 84, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024. She was the devoted wife of Anthony Peter Milone, her loving partner of 62 years. Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Greta (Monsun) Magnuson.
Kersti’s life was defined by the love and care she gave to her family. She was the mother of four sons: Craig Milone of Providence, Peter Milone of Warwick, Matthew Milone (Tamara) of North Kingstown, and Christopher Milone (Molly) of North Kingstown, who fondly remember her as the heart of their family. Known for her kindness, strength, and unshakable support, Kersti was also a grandmother to Stacy Beal (Joshua), Tyler Milone (Alexandra), Benjamin Milone, and Elijah Milone, and a great-grandmother to Harrison, Lachlan, Sebastian, Isaiah, Ty, River, and Skye. She will forever be remembered as a loving matriarch who filled her family’s lives with warmth, laughter, and joy.
Though Kersti was surrounded by men—her four sons, three grandsons, and seven great-grandsons—she would often laugh that she was the only woman in a house full of boys. The running joke was that she needed more girls, but whether it was her granddaughter or her sons, grandsons, or great-grandsons, Kersti poured the same endless love into each of them. Her family, with all its wonderful chaos, was the heart of her life and her pride and joy.
Kersti worked as a legal secretary for many years at the Law Office of Paul Sollitto in North Kingstown. Her career was a testament to her dedication and hard work. But it was her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that truly defined her legacy. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she was the rock on which they all stood—always offering encouragement, comfort, and unconditional love.
Together with her beloved husband, Kersti and Anthony weathered many of life’s storms, building a marriage that spanned over six decades and was an enduring testament to love and partnership. Through their many years together, they shared a deep bond that only grew stronger with time.
Kersti is also survived by her sister, Asta Jeffcoat (Grover) of Columbia, SC, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends in both Rhode Island and Florida, all of whom will miss her generous heart and caring nature.
A Service in Celebration of Kersti’s Life will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 7:00 PM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
Prior to the service, friends and family are welcome to visit from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Kersti’s love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
