Judith Lillian Kennedy

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Kennedy, 88, of East Greenwich, RI. Born in Worcester, Ma., she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Evelyn (Anderson) Maynard.

Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Judy’s family was her greatest joy. Her home was the gathering place for her many children and grandchildren, and she taught us the meaning of family.

Everyone who knew Judy felt her warmth and kindness. She had a way of making everyone feel special, offering a warm smile and a listening ear to whoever needed it. Whether through small acts of kindness or moments of laughter, Judy left a lasting impression on the lives she touched.

She was the loving wife of the late Donald E. Kennedy. She will be deeply missed by her six children: Mike Kennedy and his wife Carolyn Kennedy, Kate Shaffer and her husband Jim Shaffer, Jean Eller and her husband Dr. Peter Eller, Joe Kennedy and his wife Lien Kennedy, Jill Cunnigham and her husband Paul Cunningham and Julie George and her husband Jason George. She will be lovingly remembered by her fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday, February 12 from 5:00PM– 7:00PM at the URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, RI 02886.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 10:00AM at St. Gregory the Great Church at 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick, RI 02886. Interment immediately following at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.
