Joyce D.Tortolani

68, of Warwick, died peacefully at home on Saturday, December 25, 2010. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Lewis and Bella (Mello) Lewis. She was the companion of Richard A. Sorgel of Coventry.

Mrs. Tortolani worked as a Secretary in the Business Office of Women & Infants Hospital for 24 years until her retirement in 2009.

Besides her companion, she leaves her son, Anthony Evans of West Warwick. She was the mother of the late Kevin D. Evans. Loving sister of Rosemarie Bacon of Cranston, cherished grandmother of Jazmin Evans, Alexsys Evans, and great-grandmother of Kayden Evans.

Her funeral will be held Friday, December 31, 2010 at 9:15 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 597 Jefferson Blvd, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
