Josephine (Sasso) Corse

Josephine (Sasso) Corse, 90, of Newport, formerly of North Kingstown, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Antonina Sasso.

Josephine worked as a Cashier for Dave’s Marketplace in North Kingstown and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her beloved children, Kathleen M. Victoria of Newport, Linda A. Jackson (Michael) of Encinitas, CA, Donna Jo Corse of Middletown, and Brenda Jean Moretti (Robert) of Dublin, CA, her sister, Yolanda Flori, and four cherished grandchildren- Nicole Victoria, Cristine Victoria, Aria N. Jackson, and Jared C. Jackson.

She was the sister of the late Bruce Sasso, Leo Sasso, Mary Sasso, and Rosemary DiGiuseppe.

Her Committal Service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:00AM at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston Street, Cranston.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick for a 10:30AM departure time procession to St. Ann’s.
