Joseph Nacci Obituary

85, of Greenville Avenue, Johnston, formerly of Europe Street, Providence, passed away Monday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of the late Lucy (DeFilippo) Nacci. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Domenico and Diamante (DeGiacinto) Nacci.

Mr. Nacci was a groundskeeper for the V.A. Regional Medical Center in Providence and served in The United States Navy during WW II. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Providence.

He was the beloved father of Amedeo J. "Dale" Nacci and his wife Lori of Johnston. Loving grandfather of David J. Nacci and Amanda R. Nacci, both of Johnston. He was the brother of the late Marco, Pasquale, John, Pompelia, Carlo, Alfred, Pietro and Salvatore Nacci.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Saturday from 8:00-9:00 AM in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Brayton Avenue, Providence. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 No. Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
