Joseph Evangelista

Joseph Evangelista, 86, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Jennie T (Valletta) Evangelista. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Concetta (Martucci) Evangelista.

Joseph graduated from Warwick Veterans Memorial High School in 1958 and was a Lieutenant for the City of Warwick Fire Department for 25 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Warwick Retired Fire Fighters Association. Joseph enjoyed gardening, kite flying, flying model planes, walking and carpentry.

He is survived by his loving children, Joseph J Evangelista and his wife Dawn of Lincoln, and Jeanne A. Charpentier and her husband Brian of Coventry, his grandchildren Britney Wilkinson and her husband Kyle of Concord North Carolina and Kyle Evangelista of Burriville. He leaves his great grandson in which he adored Kayden Joseph Wilkinson.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:30 AM at THE URQUHART-MURPHYFUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick, RI. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM-11:30AM
