John Leonard Riccio, Lt. U.S.N. Retd.

John Leonard Riccio, Lt. U.S.N. Retd, 81, of North Kingstown, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2025. He was the loving husband of Judith Lynn (DeLancey) Riccio. Born in Kingsville, TX, he was the son of the late Leonard J. and Elizabeth (Thomas) Riccio.

John proudly served as a Lieutenant Officer in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a Naval Aviator who flew fixed wing jets, and his specialty, helicopters. Upon graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy, John completed Military Justice School and worked at the Pentagon before retiring from the Navy. He went on to form his own custom built homes construction company on the eastern shore of Maryland and completed his working career as a Financial Planner in Rhode Island.

Alongside his wife, Judith Lynn (DeLancey) Riccio of North Kingstown, he is survived by his beloved children, Jenna Latham of Easton, MD, Leonard J. Riccio (Jennifer) of Easton, MD, Joseph Riccio (Jennie) of Easton, MD, Jordan Riccio of Easton, MD, and Kimberly Beth Beebe (Ryan) of Exeter, and his grandchildren, John Riccio, Christopher Riccio, and Quinn Beebe.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 1:00PM-3:00PM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Interment with Military Honors will be private.
