JoAnne M. Pick

Joanne M. Pick, 92, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on May 26, 2026 at Kent Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Donald G. Pick.  Born in Boston, MA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph E. Gormley and Muriel I. (Moore) Gormley.

Mrs. Pick worked for the North Kingstown School Department as a Bus Aide until her retirement.  She was a Communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church where she sang in the choir and volunteered as poll worker for the North Kingstown Board of Elections.  

She leaves her loving children, Gary Pick of North Kingstown, JoAnne M. Pick of North Kingstown, William J. Pick & his wife Paula of Warwick, and Charles E. Pick of North Kingstown.  She was the mother of the late Deborah L. Thompson & mother-in-law of the late Bobby Thompson.  Cherished grandmother of Christen Mahoney Pick & her wife Lauren Mahoney Pick of Northbridge, MA, Katelen Pick of Wrentham, MA, Murphy Thompson of North Kingstown, and great-grandmother of Mays Mahoney Pick and Wesley Mahoney Pick of Northbridge, MA.  She was the sister of Muriel T. Maloney of Weymouth, Jeannette M. Griffin of Weymouth, and the late Anne Claire Durham.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM in St. Francis de Sales Church, 301 School Street, North Kingstown.  Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.

Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
