Jane Margaret (Petrucci) Pilz, 69, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024. She was the loving wife of Steven James Pilz of Cranston. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Markarian) Petrucci.
Jane received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Rhode Island College and her Masters of Law from Champlain College in Vermont. She began her working career as the Blood Lab Manager for Miriam Hospital and the Rhode Island Blood Center. Jane continued her career as a Transfusion Service Manager for both Rhode Island Hospital and Miriam Hospital. She later became the Compliance Officer for the Laboratory Pathology Department at Women & Infants Hospital and the COVID Testing Manager at the Rhode Island Department of Health Laboratory.
In addition to her many accomplishments, Jane was a parishioner of Holy Apostles Parish in Cranston, a Board Member of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Society of Quality; Association for the Advancement of Blood Biotherapies member; American Society for Clinical Pathology member; Health Care Compliance Association member; actively held the Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC); and Roger Williams Park Zoo member.
Alongside her beloved husband, Steven James Pilz of Cranston, she is survived by her sister, Marie Petrucci of Providence.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 8:30AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Interment will follow at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 5:00PM-8:00PM.
