James L. Berker, Jr., 61, of Warwick, died peacefully on April 26, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Tinah P. Hall. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James L. Berker, Sr and Norma (Marx) Berker.
James worked for many years at Very Foundations, Twin Shellfish & Steve’s Boat Repair Shop, where he was known for dedication & loyalty. He also had a deep love for being on the water, spending countless hours fishing aboard his Parker boat from shores of Rhode Island down to the waters of Florida. He will also be remembered for his kindness and his willingness to help his neighbors, always ready to lend a hand whenever & wherever it was needed.
James had a compelling love for all animals; all were welcome in his home.
Besides his loving and devoted wife, he will be sadly missed by his stepsons, Derrick Martin and Rian Martin. He also leaves his stepbrothers and sister, Richard Weigert, David Weigert and Lori Weirgert Mayer and his granddaughter, Arabella Martin.
James family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at the URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Burial will be private.
