Hugh A. Shaw

Hugh Shaw entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 21, 2025.  Hugh lived a life not defined by titles or accolades but by showing kindness to those societies marginalized.

For Hugh, the words of Matthew 25:40-45 were lived out in the day to day. He fed the hunger, sheltered the cold, welcomed the strangers, and visited the lonely. He shared the gospel with everyone he met.

Hugh is preceded in death by his parents and stepdad Arthur Shaw and Agnes and Edward McDonald, and his precious Aunt Mary Chartier. 

He is survived by his wife Susan and his children Alex (Sara), Rebecca (Daniel), and Megan, his six grandsons Brayden, Matthew, Luke, Mason, Ethan, and Elliot. His siblings Margaret, Linda and his beloved little sister Heather.

A celebration of his life and faith will be held on December 30, 2025, from 4-7 at the URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, RI.
