Helen Tarsa Obituary

94, of St. Elizabeth Way, East Greenwich, passed away Friday at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Tarsa. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Kunegunda Szymanski; she had lived in Warwick before moving to East Greenwich 7 years ago.

Mrs. Tarsa was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was the beloved mother of Lillian M. Richards and her husband Brian of Warwick. Loving grandmother of David M. Richards of Minnesota, Robert E. Richards of Maine and the late Tracy E. Dingmon. Cherished great grandmother of seven. She was the sister of the late John and Charles Szymanski, Mary Bukowski and Bertha DiMartino.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Gregory The Great Church, 360 Cowesett Avenue, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
