Frederick Arthur Newton, 92, of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. He was the loving husband of Judith A. (Haracz) Newton. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Marian (Drowne) Newton.
Frederick honorably served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and worked as an Equipment Installer for Nynex for forty years until his retirement. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Warwick Zoning Board of Review. In his free time, Frederick enjoyed gardening, traveling with his wife, and serving as a Boy Scout Leader.
Alongside his wife Judith A. (Haracz) Newton of Warwick, he is survived by his beloved children, Deborah A. Quirk (J. William) of Warwick, Beth A. Tidswell (Charles Jr.) of Coventry, and David A. Newton (Linda) of Ireland. He was the grandfather of Michelle R. Miranda (David), Daniel A. Noble (Kristi), Jennifer L. Rock (Thomas), Meghan B. Bond (Joel), Cormac F. Newton, Ailish F. Newton, Milo F. Newton, and Annie F. Newton and the great-grandfather of eight great-grandchildren; Kyle, Logan, Jacoby, Skyler, Kylie, Emerett, Keegan, and the late Micah Bond.
His Funeral Services are private and entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
