Frank Joseph Tammelleo Jr., “ Frankie” 66, of Warwick, RI was born in Providence, RI, on May 7, 1960.
Frankie passed away peacefully Friday, May 22, 2026. He was a loving husband to his soulmate wife Clare, who met Frankie working at Kent Hospital….he was so cute!
Frankie was a wonderful father, brother, brother-in law, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a handyman who was always available to help with house projects.
He was the son of the late Alice C. (Bianco) and Frank J Tammelleo of Providence.
Frankie leaves a son, Ellis D. Tammelleo, his wife Gloria of Providence and Ellis’s mother Donna DeBiasio. He was the best father a son could ever ask for. Sisters Margie Holmes of Jamestown and Lorraine Imondi of Bristol, who loved him deeply and appreciate the wonderful brother he was. Stepsons Kris of North Kingstown, Erik of Colorado, Stephen of Hawaii and their families are thankful for the care Frankie took of their mother Clare.
Frankie was an adoring uncle to several nieces and nephews, always making them smile with his cheerful personality; especially when he brought the younger one’s lollipops. He was poppy to Dorothy Rose- Dot who adored him.
Frankie spent his summers at Roy Carpenters Beach. He went to Mt Pleasant High School and was a Wrestling State Champion. He loved his country and served in the United States Army Reserves for 20 years; which contributed to him going to college and becoming a Nurse. Frankie worked at Kent Hospital for over 20 years with a glowing reputation as a terrific nurse. He later became an addiction counselor.
Frankie loved hiking, biking, kayaking and traveling with his loving wife Clare. He enjoyed spending time with family at the beach house during the holidays, hosting his annual family cookout and traveling to Colorado, Hawaii and Florida to visit family.
Frankie was an avid golfer enjoying his time on the course with his wife, nephews and friends. He particularly loved golfing in Hawaii with Stephen.
Football was a sport that kept Frankie glued to the TV, he would go to a game every year with his son Ellis.
Frankie loved animals and he will be missed by Benny and Lafayette.
Funeral Services with be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 12:00PM from the URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, RI, going to RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 S County Trail, Exeter, RI for a 2:00PM burial with Military Honors.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the Funeral Home.
