Frances C. (Ciummo) Coletta

88, of Monterey Drive, West Warwick, died peacefully on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at New England Bay of Coventry. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Luigi Ciummo and Erminia (DiSalvo) Ciummo. She was the wife of the late Rosindo J. Coletta.

Mrs. Coletta was a state employee for 25 years, retiring in 1979 as Confidential Stenographic Secretary to Clerk of the Workers' Compensation Commission. She was a Charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter #388.

She leaves her son, James S. Coletta of West Warwick, and one brother, Sylvio P. Ciummo of Cranston. She was the loving grandmother of Steven J. Coletta of Clover, S.C., David A. Coletta of Coventry, mother in law of Jeannine T. Coutu and great-grandmother of Anthony Coletta.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 8:45 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
