Edward J. Valentim, Sr.

Edward J. Valentim, Sr., 68, of Cranston passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 20, 2025. He was the loving husband of Deborah (Ruggieri) Valentim. Born in Warwick he was the son of the late Joseph A. Valentim, Sr. and Corinne (Marshall) Valentim.

Ed was a life- long Rhode Island resident and graduated from Tollgate High School with the class of 1976. He went on to be a Production Supervisor for Elmwood Sensors for 25 years before his retirement. He was a classic car enthusiasts buying and selling several cars over the decades. He was an avid scale model builder from about the age of 8 a hobby he continued throughout his life.

Ed will be remembered as a man of few words and was loved by his family and friends. Besides his beloved and devoted wife of 49 years Deborah, he is survived by his children, Christine Valentim, Dawn Temple (Edward) and Edward J. Valentim Jr.(Nancy Silva). He also leaves his sister and brothers, Karen Giblin (Joseph), Joseph A. Valentim, Jr.(Jean) and William V, Valentim and his mother-in-law, Barbara Ruggieri and brother in-law, Mark Ruggieri.

Funeral arrangements and burial will be private.
