Douglas J. Davidson, Jr.

Douglas J. Davidson, Jr., 63, of Richmond, died at home on December 27, 2025.  Born in North Kingstown, he was a son of Muriel A. (Tucker) Davidson of Richmond and the late Douglas J. Davidson, Sr.  

Douglas was employed as an offshore fisherman working on freezer boats out of Dutch Harbor Alaska as well as a longshore fisherman and lobsterman working out of Wickford and Point Judith Rhode Island. Douglas loved trout fishing, shellfishing, model cars, raising chickens and his cat Sheila.

In addition to his mother, he leaves his siblings: Audrey L. Davidson of Charlestown, SC, Deborah A. Davidson of Millis, MA, and Daniel R. Davidson of Richmond.  He was the uncle of Samantha Barahono Franko, Ruth Nicolella, Renee Malenfant, and granduncle of Walfred Gerard Franko.  He was the nephew of Sandra J. Gates & her husband Curt of Phoenix, AZ and Stuart A. Tucker of Exeter.  

His graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 12:00 PM in Quidnessett Cemetery, 6365 Post Road, North Kingstown.
