Douglas Paul Charron, 74, of Warwick, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Paul and Barbara (Peters) Charron-Bacon.
Mr. Charron served proudly in the Rhode Island National Guard during the Vietnam Era, demonstrating a strong sense of duty and commitment to his country. He was a proud member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe and was instrumental in helping to develop services that supported and strengthened the Tribal community. In his personal time, he enjoyed researching his family genealogy, taking great interest in preserving his family’s history and heritage.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Dawn F. Charron of Johnston and his brothers and sister, Russell Charron of Providence, Brad Bacon of Rehoboth and Barbara-Jean Charron Sousa of Providence. He also leaves his former wife Gail Charron and his dear friend, Dan Fagan, both from Warwick and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Denise Bacon.
