Dorothy May (Swenson) Zackarian

Dorothy May (Swenson) Zackarian, 101, of Coventry, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Edward “Eddie Zack” Zackarian. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Effie (White) Swenson.

Dorothy worked as a Waitress for Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown and the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Dorothy “Dotty Zack” M. Savory of Coventry, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Elizabeth A. Marland, Edward Zackarian, Jr., and Peter Zackarian and sister of the late John Swenson, Ernest Swenson, Mildred Pagliarini and Lynne Bates.

Her Committal Service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00AM at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1 Rhode Island Avenue, Johnston.
