Dorothy R. (Olander) Scholl

86, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Born in Queens, NY she was a daughter of the late Ernest Olander and Helen (Samuelson) Nelson. She was the wife of the late George W. Scholl.

Mrs. Scholl was a Homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wickford, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels of North Kingstown. She was also a member of the Quahog Chapter of the Swedish Lodge, Beechwood Senior Center, the Red Hat Society, and Ye Kings Towne Garden Club.

She leaves her three children: Richard W. Scholl and his wife Maryann of North Kingstown, William J. Scholl and his wife Robin of Pittsford, NY, and Barbara D. King and her husband Russell of Hyde Park, NY. She was the loving grandmother of Ryan A. Scholl of Winston-Salem, NC, Jessica A. Scholl of London, England, Jared N. King, Ian R. King, Deanna H. King, all of Hyde Park, NY, and Reid Soule of Pittsford, NY. She was the sister of the late Theodore R. Olander.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 12:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 11:00 to 12:00 prior to the service. Burial in Calverton National Veterans Cemetery will be private.
