Dorothy Eleanor (Markey) Clare

Dorothy Eleanor (Markey) Clare, 84, of Warwick, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Eleanor (Feeney) Markey.

Dorothy graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1958 and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Rhode Island. She went on to work as an Administrator for the University of Rhode Island for over forty years. Dorothy was a parishioner of St. Timothy’s Church in Warwick where she was a former choir member. She enjoyed theatre, concerts, knitting, and was a founding member of the Girls Hockey Club of Warwick.

She is survived by her beloved son, Douglas R. Clare (Clair Tremblay) of Warwick and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the mother of the late Gary P. Clare.

Her Funeral Arrangements are private and have been entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich, Warwick.
